[He opens the door and steps inside, closing the door quietly behind him. He walks to the bed and then crouches down.]

People have called me scary and dangerous as well.

[There is room enough for The Eleven down there, though the clearance might be low for him.]

I should be used to it, but I thought It would be different here... That was so fucking stupid of me.

[He pulls up the bed skirt and sits on the couch under the bed, hunched over but not uncomfortable.]

This is a prison. It's a nice prison, but that doesn't change what it is. We're here because someone with power disapproves of us and what we do. Unsurprisingly, those chosen to be his wardens also disapprove. Of what we are. And what we do.

[When Eleven makes his way onto the couch, Christopher moves. He hugs the Eleven around the middle and buries his face in his arm.]

I was asked to be here... why would the Admiral ask me here if he thinks theres something wrong with me?

[Being hugged by a child is an entirely new experience and he's not entirely sure what to do with it, so he somewhat awkwardly pats Chris' head.]

The Admiral wants to change us. He wants us to be not what we are now.

He asked me as well. I agreed only because I have confidence I can escape any prison sooner or later. If I hadn't agreed, there'd be no escape from what was coming for me.

[Fully dead if he was very lucky. But becoming a bodiless voice as the Twelve escaped an exploding space station seemed the most likely outcome when the Admiral made his offer.]

[He isnt sure that really can tell the difference, or even recognize the confusion or if he's being insincere as he cries. He feels the pat on his head and thats fine, it seems.

I dont want to change... I just want to be somewhere safe for me and other monsters.
